I believe that everyone deserves to have someone fight for them. When you are accused of committing a crime, it feels like the entire government is against you- because it is. I have made it my life mission to stand in front of my clients when the government is knocking on their door.
As an attorney, I only practice criminal defense and civil rights because I believe that the Constitution is sacred. When you hire me, you are hiring a lawyer who will stop at nothing to protect your rights. You are my only priority.
When I’m not working, I love traveling across the county visiting friends and family. I enjoy hiking and camping around Michigan state parks to explore everything this amazing state has to offer. I also attend criminal defense training seminars around the state and country to keep my skills current.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
I have been a Michigan based criminal defense attorney for my entire career. At Michigan State University College of Law, I was a graduate of the highly competitive Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute where I discovered my love of trial work. I also acted as a student attorney in the MSU Civil Rights Clinic, where I represented Michigan inmates suing the Department of Corrections in federal court for violations of their civil rights. Additionally, I have spent time clerking for the State Appellate Defender Office on their juvenile lifer cases.
After law school, I continued to represent Michigan inmates in Federal Court. I am a graduate of the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan Trial College, as well as many other criminal defense programs. I have served as a court-appointed attorney in Genesee, Wayne, and Shiawassee counties for both criminal and abuse & neglect cases. No matter where your case may be in Michigan, I will come to your defense. My vast legal background has given me the experience and passion to help guide you win our criminal case.
